Abstract
664,078. Valve generating and receiving circuits. PLESSEY CO., Ltd. Feb. 2, 1950 [April 14, 1949], No. 10126/49. Drawings to Specification. Classes 40 (v) and 40 (vi). A multi-grid frequency changing stage comprises a valve with the control grid circuit tuned to the incoming carrier, the screen grid circuit tuned to the local oscillator frequency and the anode circuit tuned to the intermediate frequency. It is arranged that the local oscillator circuit is tuned to a frequency below that of the incoming carrier in order that the control grid circuit may be inductive at the local oscillator frequency. Oscillation is maintained due to feed-back over the screen grid to control grid capacity.
