[Class 12 (iii)] To prevent " lead-in " discrepancies between the satellite grease gun carrying chain and the main conveyer chain described in the parent Specification, the pitches of the chain links are arranged to be different, thereby resulting in a non-continuous satellite chain drive, which chain accordingly has means to provide energy to maintain its movement during non-driven periods. A sprocket-shaft 10, Fig. 1, carrying one sprocket 8 of the satellite chain 7 is rotatable in bearings 12, 12A and has loosely mounted thereon a fly-wheel 17. This is connected to the shaft 10 by engagement of a conical surface 18 thereon with a complementary surface 16 of a slipping clutch member 15 keyed to the shaft 10, a coil spring 20 leading the faces to engagement. Alternatively, an electric motor 67, Fig. 5, of sufficient power only to maintain movement of the satellite chain at low speed, may be connected with the sprocket shaft 10 through a steep pitch worm 65 and worm-wheel 64, the slipping clutch (not shown) being incorporated in either gear. Other modifications are described in which a smaller fly-wheel is connected through step-up spur gearing, or through worm gearing as in Fig. 5, or the motor may be connected through countershaft spur gearing. In all embodiments the slipping dutch is optional.
