656,071. Pencil packets. ROYAL SOVEREIGN PENCIL CO., Ltd., and PIORNIK, L Sept. 29, 1948, No. 25339. [Classes 18 and 94(i)] A device for holding pencils in bundles consists of a strip of cardboard with the ends connected together and shaped to form a tubular member 1 of rectangular or square cross-section, one wall of the member being cut to form-an integral flap 3 in the body of the wall with the free end of the flap parallel with the open ends of the member and the flap bent inwards and backwards into the member to act as a spring or packing to engage and hold the pencils in the member to prevent the pencils slipping out. A single flap or two flaps may be formed in each of two opposite walls or two flaps in the same wall.
