Abstract

632,121. Bedsteads. WHITFIELDS BEDSTEADS, Ltd., and ADAMS, E. Jan. 28, 1948, No. 2503. [Class 52 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] An invalid's bedstead comprising a mesh mattress consisting of hinged head, central and foot-sections adapted for variable disposition as described in Specification 556,353 is arranged so that the foot-section is mounted in dependent slotted brackets. As shown the foot-section C is provided with lateral rollers 2in the plane of the section and with rollers 3 carried by vertical arms 5 the rollers 2, 3 being arranged to run in slots 4a in dependent brackets 4 the configuration of which determines the inclination of the foot-section C dependent on the inclination of the head section A. The head section A is pivoted to the side frames 1, and the central section B is guided by rollers 6, carried by arms 7, arranged to run in the slots which are a continuation of, and divided by a division 4b from the slots 4a.
