Abstract
639,030. Dowel pins. PITTSBURGH SCREW & BOLT CORPORATION. Dec. 24, 1947, No. 34177. Convention date, March 16, 1944. [Class 89 (ii)] [Also in Groups X and XXIII] Metal dowel pins 2, as used for driving into holes previously drilled through a series of sideby-side rows of pieces of lumber to form a prefabricated unit, have a spiral thread 3 the pitch of which is steep enough to ensure rotation of the dowel when driven into the said holes. The angular pitch of the thread is not more than 45 degrees to the longitudinal axis or is greater than 45 degrees to a plane passing transversely through the dowel.
