[Class, 51 (i)] A liquid-fuel combustion chamber for gasturbines and other uses has a partition wall 3, Fig. 1, at its air entrance end, furnished with a number of apertures 6. Each aperture is covered by a spaced deflector plate 7. Or, the wall 3 has one large opening 13, Fig. 3, covered by a deflector plate 14 which has a number of vanelike openings 16. The region of these openings is covered by a second deflector plate 17.
