Abstract
629,092. Aerial masts. BERWICK, H. W. May 27, 1947, No. 15921/46. [Class 20(i)] [Also in Group XL(c)] A hollow mast for supporting an insulated aerial wire 7 within the mast comprises a number of tapered tubular sections 1 of conductive or non-conductive material rigidly connected together by insulating sleeves 2, each sleeve fitting inside the upper end of a section to form a socket into which the lower end of the adjacent upper section fits. The top section is closed by a stopper 6 and the bottom section is connected to a mounting tube 5 by an insulating sleeve 4. The bottom end of the aerial and the lead-in 11 are both clamped to a metallic collar 8 by means of insulating collars 9 and 10.
