Abstract

613,568. Drying granular material. RICKERT, E. June 17, 1946, No. 18154 [Class 34(ii)] Frames consisting of tubes 9 supporting wire netting 12 are disposed within a horizontally mounted drying drum. Heating fluid enters through an axial tube 14 and flows through a tube 8 and hence by way of tubes 9 into jacket space 4 and discharge pipes 15 and 15a. Perforated plates 16 are provided at opposite positions of the drum interior, behind which an agent for treating the material in the drum may be introduced by the tubes 17, 18 and discharged through a tube 19.
