Abstract

612,502. Bobbins. HEDGEDUS, E. Feb. 25, 1939, No. 6318. [Class 120(iii)] A yarn-supporting tube for ring spinning frames &c. consists of a cylindrical or conical paper sleeve 1 having a wall thickness of less than 2mm. and provided at each of its straightcut unbent ends with a metal ring 2 having a channelled radial section engaging both inner and outer surfaces of the sleeve and covering the whole end surface of it. The sleeve may be provided intermediate its ends with strengthening or stiffening rings or fittings which may be of a magnetizable material or may be provided with projecting and/or deepened parts and/or cuts the size, shape or distribution of which can be varied in different tubes to facilitate selection. Specifications 322,580, 335,823 [both in Class 120(iii)], 366,903, 372,815, 416,381, and 419,974 are referred to.
