611,194. Doors. HILLS & SONS, Ltd., F., and MAY, W. April 25, 1946 No. 12467. [Class 20(iii)] A door is provided on each face with inner and outer skins N, M of two-ply material arranged with the grain of at least the inner skin extending transversely of the stiffening battens F associated with the frame A - D so that the whole structure forms, in effect a block-board with either three or five plies. When both skins are arranged transversely of the battens their respective grains may be mutually inclined at a small angle. One or each skin may be composed of a plurality of bands cemented together edge to edge.
