617,037. Ventilators. STEWART, Sir F. C. Sept. 26, 1946, No. 28768. [Class 137] The air - strean from a distribu ting nozzle 3 is diffused by a fixec plate 2 and is regu lated by axia adjustment of a sleeve 1 carried by a nut 5 engaging a thread cut in a rotatable spindle 4. The sleeve may be moved to contact the plate 2 to shut off the air, or the volume of air discharged may be controlled by a damper. The nozzle may be flared at the outlet in which case a thinwalled sleeve is used.
