Abstract

616,565. Key-holders. HANNA, A. N. Aug. 8, 1946, No. 23497. [Class 44] In a key-holder of the kind in which a number of keys are carried by looped carriers detachably secured to a slotted fitting having a movable member adapted to secure the carriers, the fitting 12 has segmental circumferential slots 13, each having an enlarged portion 14, and a slide 22, Fig. 5, having wards 23 designed to obstruct, and openings 24 adapted to register with, the enlarged portions of the slots, means, e.g. a lug 30, for guiding and limiting movement of the slide, and screw means for positively actuating and locking the slide in position being provided. The fitting 12 is tubular, with flanges secured to a plate 17, to which is secured a flexible tab 19 which may carry a fastener 20 by which the device can be attached to a hand bag or the like. A flange 25 of the slide 22 slides between the flanges of the fitting 12. To move the slide and lock it in position, a screw 26, rotatably connected thereto co-operates with screw threads 27 in the fitting 12. Movement of the slide 22 is limited by lug 30 which works in a slot in the plate 17. The looped carriers 33 are of springy material with upper ends 35, Fig. 8, of cylindrical form to be retained within the tubular fitting 12, and are split and formed with interlocking parts as shown.
