616,378. Flexible capsules. POSNER, H. July 22, 1946. No. 21867. [Class 81 (i)] [Also in Group XVII] A capsule 10 for fluid medicines is made of gelatine, plastic resin, cellulose acetate or other flexible material and has a closed neck 12 with a stiff plate 13 of thin metal or moulded plastic incorporated therein and preferably enclosed totally in the gelatine &c., during the forming, e.g. moulding of the capsule which is opened by removing the plate 13 which takes with it the closed end of the neck. Said plate may be rectilinear, e.g. triangular, and may project at one or more points beyond the periphery of the neck-even through the gelatine, &c,.-to be removed by a finger nail.
