615,824. Perambulators convertible into portmanteaux. HEMSLEY, C. R. Aug. 12, 1946, No. 23862. [Class 108 (i)] A perambulator comprises a substantially rectangular body a having side walls cavitied to receive retractable wheels d mounted on resilient telescopic arms e connected on each side by links f and clamped in the extended and retracted positions by wing nuts h on the links f operating in arcuate slots h<SP>1</SP>. Two hinged covers i, j are arranged to overlap in the closed position at k<SP>1</SP>. A collapsable cover is secured in the open position by stays j<SP>1</SP> and is provided with a detachable apron which is fitted with a transparent window. Collapsable carrying handles o are provided and articles may be stowed in compartments provided in the cavitied walls.
