Abstract
603,503. Epicyclic gearing. RICHTER, O. R., and WELSH, J. W. Oct. 22, 1945, No. 27737. Convention date, Nov. 6, 1944. [Class 80 (i)] Gearing for rotating a drum 2 comprises a driving shaft 4 having a pinion 6 meshing with planet gears 7 on stub shafts 8 journalled in the drum. Parts 9 of the shafts 8 carry eccentric pins 12 supporting a floating ring gear 13, which meshes at one point in its periphery with a fixed reaction gear 14 coaxial with the shaft 4. In a modification, the members 13, 14 instead of having internal and external teeth have external and internal teeth respectively.
