Abstract
602,936. Shower - baths. HEWLETT, R. C. Nov. 12, 1945, No. 30170. [Class 26] Shower-bath apparatus comprises a main storage tank 11 and a shower-producing chamber 10 communicating therewith through a manually-controlled valve 12, the intake affording a much greater rate of flow than the outlet 26 so that, on opening the valve, the chamber will fill rapidly, while, on closing the valve, the chamber will continue to deliver a spray until it is empty. The chamber has an air intake pipe 16, the valve 12, which may have a collar 14, being mounted on a valve rod 13. At its upper end the rod 13 is secured to a pivoted rocker arm 17, slotted at its inner end 20 to lift a pin 21 on the rod 13, its upward movement being limited by a stop 21a. In one modification the tank has a false bottom to form said chamber which has a sloping face with a nozzle fitted thereinto. In another form the chamber consists of a small tank at the bottom of and adjacent the side of, the main tank, at which common point a spray nozzle is located.
