Abstract

601,826. Belt gearing. JAMESON, Ltd., J. L., and ALGAR, N. Oct. 4, 1945, No. 25856. [Class 80 (i)] Means for eliminating slip between a belt 1 and a driving pulley 2, comprises a second belt 3 carried by pulleys 4, 5, 6 overlying the belt 1. Either pulley 4 or 6 drives the belt 3, and may also be intergeared with pulley 2, pulley 5 being spring-loaded to tension belt 3. The invention may be applied to the endless abrasive band employed in the machine described in Specification 591,890, [Group XXIII].
