Abstract
601,627. Resilient soles for footwear. HALLGREN, K. S. Sept. 20, 1945, No. 24407. Convention date, Aug. 22, 1944. [Class 17(ii)] Solid ribs 3 of triangular or wedgeshaped cross-section extend across the sole between top and bottom walls 1, 6 of a closed cavity in a shoe sole so as to form closed grooves between the ribs, on top of which the sole rests. The bases of the ribs may be integral with or joined to the lower part 1 of the sole and their junctions therewith may be reinforced. The spaces between the ribs form sealed compartments in which the pressure of air depends on the weight applied at that locality.
