Abstract
608,046. Making electric couplings. ROSENGARD, nee DELPLANQUE, M. E. Oct. 26, 1945, Nos. 28412 and 28413. Convention dates, Jan. 31, 1944, and Nov. 21, 1944. [Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXV and XXXVI] A socket is formed from a rectangular metal blank 1 with wings 2, the part 1 being bent into a cylinder enclosing another cylinder formed from the wings 2, which engage a cooperating contact inserted therebetween. The socket is retained in a cavity in a body 5 by a conical plug 7 and a conical ring 8 which are secured to the body and engage. the socket edges 4 which are slightly belled. In a modification, (Fig. 7, not shown), the plug is replaced by a conical flange. Corners 11 may be cut in the blank to increase the resilience of the socket.
