[Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXVII] The expansion joint described in the parent Specification, comprising two sleeves welded to the exhaust manifold to form an annulus in which another part of the manifold slides, is modified by welding the sleeves to a detachable member. This member may be screwed or other socket or a part of an exhaust silencer. The joint may be packed with asbestos string.
