599,160. Pedals. WEBB & CO., Ltd., H. C., and TAYLOR, F. W. Sept. 14, 1945, No. 23702. [Class 136 (ii)] [Also in Group XXII] An axial bore 15 of non-circular cross-section is formed in the end of the pedal spindle -13 to receive a tool which is used to screw, the spindle into and out of the hole in the crank. The drilled bore is counter . bored or otherwise provided with a counter sink at the end face and is given an angular cross section by means of a drifting punch. An inner and outer flanged ring cap 23 may be provided to act as a dust cap for the bearing.
