Abstract

599,029. Stereoscopes. LANE, Ltd., H., and LANE, H. C. Sept. 12, 1945, No. 23464. [Class 97 (i)] A stereoscope is characterized in that two units, each comprising an eyepiece and its casing and a photographic frame, are connected at their, forward ends by flexible strips to allow of relative turning movement thereof. As shown in Fig. 1 the two units A each comprise a casing alpha as of metal carrying an eyepiece B and a carrier C for receiving the transparencies of a stereoscopic pair, the connection between the units being formed by flexible metal strips H. Relative turning movement is effected by rotation of a screw F, having at one end a right-hand thread and at the other end a lefthand thread, which screws into nuts G pivotally mounted one on each casing.
