Abstract
596,984. Structural elements. BRUSH ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and RAYER, F. H. March 30, 1945, No. 8098. [Class 20(ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] An H-sectioned pillar 1 comprises two members each of which comprises a metal web 1a having along one longitudinal edge a protruding side flange 1b and a second flange 1c intermediate the width of the web and which protrudes at the opposite face of the web from the flange 1b. Two of these members are joined together at the intermediate flange to form an H- sectioned pillar, the ends of the flanges being rounded to fit into the root of the opposing flange. As applied to a vehicle body, fillets 5, 6, Fig. 4 are secured in the open spaces of the H-sectioned pillar for the attachment of a window pan 7 of metal or synthetic resin carrying a fixed light 8 and a movable light 9. The members may be cast, rolled or extruded.
