Abstract
587,905. Drying-horses. BLACKWOOD, A. R Oct. 30, 1944, No. 21165. [Class 52 (v)] A clothes horse comprises two or more sections adapted to be stacked one upon another, each section comprising a number of rods for the reception of clothes carried at each end by a pair of end members which are pivoted together intermediate their ends so that each section may be collapsed flat when not in use. The lowermost section has end members 10 pivoted together medially at 11 and spaced apart by clothes receiving rods 12. The lower ends of the end members 10 are pivoted at 14 to side arms 13 which are spaced apart by rods 17 and notched at 15 to receive the rod 16 and hold the end members 10 at any desired inclination. The end members and the middle and top sections are similarly pivoted to each other and their lower ends are notched at 22 to enable them to fit over reduced portions of the clothes receiving rods 12, 20 respectively. In the top section the length of the end members 30 above the pivot 31 may be reduced and recesses 33 may be provided for the reception of additional clothes receiving rods 32.
