Abstract

[Class 6 (i)] Tamping rollers consist of drums 5 to which segmented rings 7 carrying the feet 8 are detachably secured. The drum surface may be plain, or may be recessed or ribbed to seat the rings 7. Suitable shapes of feet are shown in Fig. 5.
