Abstract
A copper sheet such as an electrotype plate, is provided with a cast on backing of another metal, e.g. an alloy of lead, antimony and tin, with the aid of a flux consisting of an aqueous mixture of zinc chloride and orthophosphoric acid, e.g. 71 grams of zinc chloride, 568 c.c. of water and 5.68 grams of orthophosphoric acid. A small amount of a wetting agent such as sodium dioctyl sulpho succinate may be added.
