570,776. Toothed gearing. FRAZER, N. G. Feb. 2, 1944, No. 1889. [Class 80 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] In a rotary engine (see Group XXVI) to compensate for relative speeds of the piston and abutment during their passing one another, a connecting shaft 50, geared to the shaft 22, Fig. 20, has two bevel wheels B which mesh alternatively with sets of teeth T and T<1> on a gear 52 which is integral with a rotary abutment. In place of the bevel gearing, ordinary spur gearing may be similarly arranged.
