Abstract

570,156. Vehicle window regulators. WILMOTBREEDEN, Ltd., and STEPHENSON, C. H. Sept. 6, 1943, No. 14545. [Class 20 (iii)] A regulator for vertically sliding vehicle windows comprises a chain or cord i passing over pulleys and connected to a member j on the sash, the chain, &c., being actuated by a handle movable horizontally on a guide rod a. The device is locked by sorting-pressed friction members c housed in a casing to which the handle is pivotally attached on a cam-shaped spindle f by which the friction members are disengaged from the guide. Springs h are provided to hold the handle in inoperative position. The actuation of the chain, &c., may be effected by a releaseable pawl on the casing and a reciprocating movement of the handle.
