Abstract

579,027. Chimneys. HANSCOMB, C. E. Nov. 28, 1944, No. 23673. [Class 25] A covering plate for a chimney stack, having as many apertures as there are flues, is cambered and extends over the edges of the stack to form a depending drip lip. As shown, the plate 2, provided with a depending lip 3, is furnished with an upstanding lip 4 to support an annular hookshaped member 7 on the pot 5; an inner lip 8 may be provided to fit the stack closely. In a modification, the pot rests in a groove formed by two annular lips on the plate.
