Abstract

577,300. Drills and cutters ; sockets. CHESTON, A. S., EDMONDS, E. C., and CHESTON, B. Aug. 19, 1944, No. 15886. [Class 83 (iii)] Shanks for countersinking tools &c. are threaded at 14 to receive a nut 1 connected by a circlip 7 as described in Specifications 558,733 and 560,507, and ball race 5 to a depth stop 8 that remains stationary on engaging the work. After adjustment the setting is maintained by a lock-nut 15. The bit 10, provided with a pilot 11, is screwed into a socket 13 on the end of the shank.
