Abstract

576,260. Inertia switches. SPECIALTIES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. May 4, 1944, No. 8450. Convention date, Aug. 27, 1943. [Class 38 (v)] An inertia operable switch comprises a contact member adapted to co-operate with a resilient member and held out of contact by the inertia operable means while the resilient member is held by stationary abutment means. As shown two resilient members 20 are connected at one end to terminals 40, their free ends being held out of contact with contact 22 by abutment 35 formed in the base, and having a guard member 42 overlying the mounted ends. The contact member is preferably carried by an arm 24 which is moved by spring means 19 on release of said inertia operable means.
