575,104. Storing light - sensitive photographic materials. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I. Dec. 22, 1943, No. 21481. Convention date, Dec. 24, 1942. [Class 98 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] Impervious packages of radiation-sensitive materials such as photographic plates and films and X-ray films and printing papers, are provided with means perceptible to the touch for determining the correct position for opening the package and the type of element contained in the package. Thus the body, Fig. 1, may be smooth and the slip-cap 4 covered with a paper having rod-like projections 5 arranged as shown or perpendicularly to the direction shown, or embossed dots, or depressed dots or rod-like grains or sinuous, wavy or diamondshaped projections or depressions, each surface corresponding to a different type of contained element. The sensitive elements 10, Fig. 4, may be disposed in opaque black-pigmented folders 11 wrapped in two overlapping soft paper opaque cap-like wrappings 13 sealed together by tape or wafers and positioned between thick cardboards, the cap also, if desired, being sealed by tape 16. The 'container may be cubical, round, oval or polygonal. U.S.A. Specification 2,327,713 which describes a protective flexible wrapping paper is referred to.
