Abstract

Pipes and other hollow bodies of paper or other fibrous material in sheet or pulp form are made by using a pattern of the hollow article to make a mould in two or more sections, moulding in such mould a former comprising a one-piece shell of a frangible substance such as plaster of Paris applying the fibrous material to the former and removing the former by breaking it into fragments.
