562,228. Collapsable tubes. OHRSTROM, V. T. April 21, 1943, No. 6367. [Class 66] Collapsable tubes made from thin sheet metal, preferably iron, in cylindrical form with an inside lap seam joint 2 are pressed cold to form a neck 3 which is then provided with a threaded part 4 either of tubular .form as shown, or consisting of wire wound into screw form, but in either case secured in place by coating with artificial resin, for instance phenol-formaldehyde resin solution, and subsequent baking at 180‹ C. The tubes are preferably lined with this material by similar treatment.
