Abstract

562,097. Bourdon gauges. GRANT, C.R.A. Oct. 21, 1942, No. 14794. [Class 106 (ii)] In a fluid-pressure-sensitive device, a Bourdon tube 3 is adjusted by an abutment in the form of a lever 7 with a U shaped end which engages the flexible part of the tube at a position intermediate its end so as to limit the effective length of the Bourdon tube whereby the usual movement multiplying device between the Bourdon tube and the indicating needle is rendered unnecessary. The lever 7 is slotted at 9 so as to be adjustable angularly and radially. The tube may have external longitudinal flanges, fins and ribs.
