Abstract

561,522. Grinding-machines. WOLF & CO., Ltd., S., and GUBBINS, C. H. Oet. 14, 1942, No. 14423. [Class 60] A machine for refacing valves comprises a grinding wheel with its face shaped to the angle of the valve which is mounted to rotate on a parallel axis and fed in the direction of its axis ; means for trueing the grinding wheel are provided. The grinding wheel 3, Fig. 1, with a bevelled face 4, is mounted on a shaft 2 parallel with a shaft 6 in which the valve 5 is mounted, a screw feed, operated by a hand wheel 10 being provided. The wheel is trued by a tool 14, Fig. 3, mounted in an adjustable inclined guide 15 and operated by a hand lever 21.
