[Class 38 (iv)] A constant voltage transformer or unit, of the kind comprising any arrangement of inductance or transformer in conjunction with a condenser in which the whole or part of the core or cores of the inductance and transformer are worked at an induction sufficient to produce a rate of change in magnetizing current much greater than the rate of change of applied voltage, has a condenser in series in the output circuit having an effective reactance equal to the inductive reactance of the constant voltage device to compensate the effect of varying load power factor. The condenser may be connected to the secondary circuit of a series connected transformer. Specification 463,947 is referred to.
