Abstract

569,377. Constructional toys. MYERS, M. April 13, 1943, No. 5897. [Class 132 (iii)] A constructional toy comprises a number of bars which can be assembled in various relationships by push-fitting them into one-piece fastening devices in the form of split-flattened tubular elements 1 of various shapes as seen in Fig. 1, e.g. element 9 connects two bars edge-to-edge at right angles and a further two bars end-to-end at right angles, element 7 connects four bars in cruciform arrangement. Elements 11 are thick enough to take two bars, one 12 of which braces the corner of a structure. An element 5, Fig. 4, connects two bars in the same plane at right angles. The grip of the fastening elements on the bars may be increased by producing depressions 16, 17, 18, 19, Figs. 13, 14, in the respective pieces.
