568,717. Valves. METERS, Ltd., and BRADDOCK, T. C. Nov. 1, 1943, No. 18030. [Class 135] A gas governor butterfly valve a is secured to a spindle b which at each end extends through a gland or stuffing-box c with a grease cup or nipple d thereon and then through a ball bearing e of the cup and cone type, the bearing being enclosed by a removable screwed cap f. The connection to the operating means comprises a weighted cable g connected at any desired point to a loosely pivoted arm i, the latter being clamped to a bracket k on the valve spindle b by a nut j screwed on to a bolt working in a curved slot m in the bracket.
