[Class 19] A cleaning, brushing or like device of the kind in which a cleaning or polishing element, such as a strip of card clothing is held in a readily detachable manner, under tension, on a holder, comprises a strip 1 of metal with upturned ends 4 around which the ends of the cleaning &c. element 3 are bent and clamped by the outwardly bent ends of a spring metal handle member 2, and a detachable bar or angle piece 5 which pivots in the bend of the strip 1 to tension the element 3. The handle member may, as shown, be in two parts 2, 2x adjustably held together by a screw 6.
