Abstract
566,753. Fishing. HARDY BROS. (ALNWICK), Ltd., and HARDY, L. R. Oct. 8, 1943, No. 16513. [Class 48] Artificial bait comprises a body moulded in two parts 2, 3, with a downwardly-projecting fin 4 on the head portion. The eye 5, and the eye 6 to which the hook flight or flights and plummet are attached, are formed from one wire which is incorporated in the bait during moulding. The parts 2, 3 are preferably hollow and float on the water, and are secured together by screwing or otherwise. A groove 8 is provided centrally to reduce risk of fouling of the hook flight which includes a freely articulating or fixed tail hook 9. The parts 2, 3 are preferably made of plastic material sold under the Registered Trade Mark " Perspex," and may be filled with a coloured core representing a fish, also in two parts. The bait may be solid and coloured.
