Abstract
Pyrazine-monocarboxylamide is prepared by esterifying pyrazine-monocarboxylic acid, e.g. by boiling, with an alcohol such as methanol or ethanol in the presence of sulphuric acid, and treating the resulting mixture with ammonia without isolating the ester. Specification 451,304 is referred to.
