566,155. Printing processes and machines. TCHEKMEIAN, K. June 11, 1943, No. 9412. [Class 100 (ii)] A sheet or web 1 is printed by an offset roller 2 receiving colour from a mosaic of plastic colour 5 on a cylinder 4 which may have colour moistening means 8. Instead of actual colouring material, the mosaic may consist of a colour constituent which may react with a second colour constituent applied by a second mosaic covered roller 10. The offset roller, instead of having a continuous surface, may be provided with pads in the form of a pattern which take colour from the mosaic on the colour roller.
