Abstract

565,172. Hinges. FOX, J. E., and FOX, A. W. Aug. 19,1943, No. 13500. [Class 65 (ii)] Hinges for the seats &c. of closets comprises a base-plate 10 on which are slidably mounted open-ended clips &c. 11 provided with slotted plates 22, in which are slidably mounted the heads 26, 27 of the bolts 25 for fixing the fitting to the pan &c. The slots 23 may be replaced by a number of separate holes. In another form, the member 10 is of channel shape, in which a pair of plates with a number of holes for the bolts are slidable. The hinge pin 14 is mounted in posts 13 secured by screws to 10 or 11.
