Abstract
564,499. Containers for cosmetics &c. SANDOR, B. July 5, 1943, No. 10870. [Class 18] [Also in Group XI] A container for cosmetics, pharmaceutical preparations, &c. consists of a number of interchangeable, identically shaped sections 1D, 1E, Fig. 8, which may, however, differ in length, each having one end internally screw-threaded, and the other reduced in diameter and externally screwthreaded, the reduced end holding the article, such as a shaving brush, ready for immediate use when the adjoining section, forming a cover, is removed. Closure caps and flaps are provided for the terminal sections, in one of which a mirror 16a may be mounted. The composite container may contain face powder at one end and a pyrophoric lighter at the other. The container may be used for lipstick, rouge, aspirins or medicinal tablets, and lighter fuel. Fig. 5 shows a form of lighter, fuel being contained in compartment 1C, and a wick 10, steel 7 and flint 8 being provided. A powder compartment 1a at the other end of the assembly may have a cap 9* with an aperture closed by a pin 11 mounted on a spring 12. A clip like that of a fountain pen may be mounted on the cap so that the assembly may be carried in the pocket.
