Abstract

564,438. Storage racks. EVERTAUT, Ltd., and BRADBURY, A. A. April 30, 1943, No. 6852. [Class 52 (i)] The drawers or trays 8 of an open fronted storage rack slide on bearers 6 with bent down ends 7 so that when a drawer is pulled out until stopped by a raised part 15 of the drawer back, engaging a transverse member 5 of the rack, the drawer is left tilted downwards for convenience of access, but the drawer can also be removed by tilting its front upwards, as shown dotted, Fig. 5, until the drawer back 15 is lowered to clear the fixed stop 5. The drawers are formed with grooves 13 to accommodate the bearers 6. The front of a drawer slopes to facilitate removal of articles,' the top edge being lower than the sides and may be flanged at 9 and formed with a hook 11 to receive a dependent card holder 12. Another card holder 10 may be fixed to the flange 9. If the holder 12 is needed, the drawer can be pulled out by fingers entering the lowered front top ; otherwise the flange 9 can be used as the pull out. The tops 14 of the drawer sides extend beyond the sides proper, so that the drawers can be nested within each other.
