564,104. Ornamenting surfaces. FREIBERG, H., and FREIBERG, S. Feb. 12, 1943, No. 2376. [Class 93] A process for the decoration of a fibrous surface, to simulate beadwork, comprises applying a mixture of a heat-hardenable ureaformaldehyde resinous composition and a hardener therefor, which mixture can be formed into spherical drops which do not flow appreciably after application to the fibrous surface, by extruding the mixture in single drops on to the surface and heating the surface with the drops thereon in an oven to a temperature of about 120‹ F., to convert the composition to the hardened and insoluble condition. Surfaces of cotton, wool and silk fabrics, and of leather, may thus be ornamented. The resinous composition may be pigmented, and may be extruded from a syringe or from a hole in the pointed end of a paper bag. Specification 247,001, [Class 93], is referred to.
