[Class 81 (i)] [Also in Group XVIII] An apparatus for dispensing liquids comprises a frame on which are mounted containers for liquids to be mixed and for the mixed liquid to be dispensed, heating means for one of the liquids, an air-pump for forcing liquid pneumatically from one container to another and an aircontrolling distributing valve for determining the desired flow of liquid. In the arrangement shown a framework 10 supports a water tank 16 heated by an electrical heater in a sump 19, a pair of vessels 48 for concentrated liquid and a pair of vessels 34 tor diluted liquid to be dispensed. A control box 61, Fig. 4 encloses an electric motor 63, a diaphragm air pump 64 and a control valve mechanism actuated by knob 88 whereby air under pressure, admitted through a filter 67, can be selectively introduced above the surface of the liquid in the vessels 16, 48 to force it up through tubes 59, 53 into either of the vessels 34, the liquid from vessel 16 also being controlled by a valve 29. The control valve comprises a disc valve 79 rotatable to admit compressed air supplied to a chamber 74 to any one of the outlets 76 communicating with the vessels 16, 48, and a switch comprising a set of contact studs 94 whereby the motor is energized to supply compressed air whenever an air connection to an outlet 76 is made. The volume of liquid supplied to the vessels 34 is controlled by the operation of a pressure release valve 100, 103 on observation of the liquid level in the vessels.
