Convention date, March 3, 1941, [Class 82 (i)] Steel suitable for axles, shafts, gears, springs, propellers, and other articles contains 0.25-0.7 per cent. of carbon, 0.5-0.75 per cent. of manganese, 0.5-0.75 per cent. of chromium 0.7-0.9 per cent. of silicon, and 0.05-0.35 per cent. of zirconium. with or without 0.05-0.35 per cent. of molybdenum and up to 0.06 per cent. of nickel.
