Abstract

543,303. Injectors. FRENCH & SON, Ltd., W. T., and FRENCH, A. W. Aug. 21, 1940, No. 13257. [Class 71] In an injector device adapted for emptying receptacles by attachment to a running water tap, the attachment means comprises a body member 18 having upstanding arms 19 to which is pivoted by means of trunnions 22 on a nut 23 a V-shaped yoke 25 adapted to embrace the gland portion of the tap 17, the nut 23 receiving a screw 24 which can be tightened against the tap outlet. The body 3 of the injector is secured by means of a threaded ring 6 to the lower screw-threaded portion 21 of the member 18 and comprises the usual nozzle 4 adjacent to the suction branch 8. If it is desired to use the branch 8 for filling instead of emptying a receptacle, the normally lower or outlet end of the body 3 may be provided with a fitting 10, which has an internal closure member and co-operates with a vertical guide groove 14 and can surfaces 26, 27 on the body 3 of the injector.
